I hated the crap you could call in in MW1, it ruined the fucking game, esspecially when everyone was getting big killstreaks you couldent fucking move for air strikes and choppers, let alone how easy having radar made sniping.

I love CoD, but im going to avoid the multiplayer like the plague this time.

No Dedicated Servers, No Clan Servers, No Control over your own server, No Moderation of your server, not everyones got a connection capable of hosting a game.

"You are completely reliant on IW.NET. There are no server lists. There are no dedicated servers.

You cannot put MW2 on a dedicated server.

General

* IW partnering through Steam is what you will see in the future. Matchmaking is not through Steam, but IW.NET is run in conjunction with Steam.
* GSP's will no longer be renting out servers.
* No PunkBuster. VAC will be used as an anti cheat.
* Retail distribution: Pre-orders will get a disk. Or you could order from Steam.
* DLC may now need to be paid for - not confirmed.
* Piracy was only a small reason for going to IW.NET - not the whole reason.

Clans:

* No more clan servers. Private matches, replace clan servers.
* Listen servers will connect to each other.
* IW.NET/Steam will replace the community server admin

Modding the game is now very much in question. Fourzerotwo had no info on modding. However, it appears that there will be no mods or maps for MW2."

You need, once again, 3rd party software (Steam) and another stupid web service to play your fucking game (IW.net). Its a circle jerk money grab by retards who dont understand PC gaming. And this is all fine if your in the UK/USA, what about the rest of the world struggling away with big pings?

Oh and Infinity Ward deleted a forum thread with 500 replys in 2 hours about the PC version, they can suck my nuts over this shit.

Yeah i will be - was supposed to play tonight however I had to exchange my pos GT Idrive (£1,000 worth) at halfords for a Boardman Pro. The GT broke on way home, so i went to halfords and went mental and demanded a new bike for same value. Also had to book disneyland lol

I will however be in game tomorrow evening for sure.

started playing online yesterday. Loving it, but kinda mixed feelings on some other things.
a) all of the maps seem to be more custerfuckish like shipment, and so far there are no sniping type maps that ive found yet.
b) is it just me or do the red dot sight and holo sight just seem to be exactly the same

Ya it's for DLC that you have to pay for. They want it setup so that the game plays only one way, so when they release DLC you'll pretty much have to get it. That's why there's like 40 version of guitar hero (and all of them after GH1 are pretty much just $50 DLC packs), each with god knows how many DLC packs. And that makes activision shitloads of money so the rest of their games will probably be doing the same thing

yeah, thats why I quit getting guitar hero once RB1 came out. Since then, I only had to buy 1 extra guitar, RB2 (only the game) and then whatever songs I want from the Store. And for $5, I was able to import all the RB1 songs to RB2, so I never have to switch discs.

and for not having dedicated standalone servers (like all half-life games), they can now rape PC gamers for new maps, much like they can (and do) on consoles.

Was at my cousins and he has this for PC, it was laggy as fuck. Then he opened the score screen. Didnt show ping numbers, just 4 green bars. And theres no kickvote. Joy... :/

It really is easy once you're on a small map with lots of corners.

I use the SMGs, using the Vector right now, with increased fire rate, its pretty funky but runs out of ammo quick.

Try playing with Marathon, Commando, and some other Perk I forget the name and just run around knifing people. So fun. But yeah I ran outta steam with MW2, got to level 61 and started playing MAG instead.
