yeah i posted the other HoN stuff, but this game is definitely more team oriented and put together much better!!!

like dota, each character has its own unique set of spells BUT each character also has a character specific ability IE: Cryophoenix (being a phoenix) has a rebirht ability, when off cooldown if you die you will revert into an egg and be reborn in a few seconds.

just 1 example!

in DotA , you win a game...yay go you? when you win (or lose) you gain experience points towards your summoner name, in which you level up and by leveling up gain 1 mastery point to spend in either Offense, Defense, or Utility.

permanently increasing stats/ability/spells for any hero you play. The skill tree for each of these 3 has more abilities than WoW id say.

ALSO, there are exclusive runes you can collect by doing extremely well in games AND about 10 different common pool spells that you can pick 2 of at the beginning of every game.

a AOE heal, >>REVIVE<<, teleports, fortification buffs....

its in open beta, you can download it and mess around for free if you want to so id definitely advise doing so.

tricky to get adjusted to the the new UI and the lots of item combos but im enjoying it so far.

Installing now but some quick questions.

I took a look at the Champion database and wanted to get some feedback on the characters I saw. If any of you have played them it'd be appreciated.

- Veigar - Tiny Master of Evil
Seems pretty good at being an anti caster with his mana drain/steal abilities. Pretty good fire support and interesting buff abilities based on who he damages/kills. Prolly sucks ass against melee champions.

- Morgana - The Fallen Angel
Pretty reliant on ranged damage dealing and self protection with her life leech and shield ability. She's one of my less interesting choices but is a fallen angel and so gets interesting mention as a possible play choice.

- Kassadin - The Void Walker
Pretty straight forward melee damage dealer who seems to play well with casters in his vicinity. I think this would be a good character to have for defending my own ranged casters.

- Sion - The Undead Champion
Brutally evil close up melee'er if I read him correctly. Lots of self buffs for melee makes him an interest up close and personal fighter. Really eager to try this guy.

Just won my first game. I used Veigar who's a really awesome support trapper. Just be careful as he's paper thin and really needs mana regen early on. Get your hands on Archangels staff as quickly as you can as it'll boost your hp/mana/regen and spell damage in a hurry.

Yea no loody kidding. Had a game last night where the enemy got his chogath to 5k health cause one of our tools kept feeding him. Damned thing never dies. Got to try out Fiddlesticks. His terror spell and dark wind silence is pretty sweet but I'm not a fan of his final move as it's a high damage AOE that teleports him to the spot you use it, but leaves him completely unable to move or cast while it's going. Great for mob clearing but pretty useless against players. He seems to be more suited to clearing lanes as he also has a life drain spell that does high damage but has a really short range. Great for tanking super minions.

So far Veigar is still my fav though. His little puny voice makes me laugh non stop and the fact he can 3 shot players early on is just sick. Going to try the Frost archer and maybe Morgana too as she seems pretty impressive in the games I've seen her.

Ashe- the frost archer- is absolutely god like. maybe due to her being teh character you play in the tutorial...but shes sick dude.

Yea I was reading up on the guides and apparently she's one of the more abusive ones to play. I've also started to notice the jester assassin(can't remember name) is massively broken. From what I can tell you have to unlock her when you buy the full game. She's massive anti-caster for one and just plain rapes face.

About to give ashe a shot next game. Wanna do a 2s team match if you're on?

You were right. Ashe is completely OP. Held down two lanes solo and raped 3 peeps at a time with her. Best trick is to get the last whisper for AS and penetration then get sheen for the 100% damage buff to attack after you use a skill. I could literally pick off players who were dead before they even knew I was there.

Character is imbalanced. it's all over the forums. Most shaco players are running a heavy AP setup and it's just plain stupid how fast you die. Haven't won a game yet were shaco is involved on other team.

What frigging account are you playing on anyway. Haven't seen you online at all faggit.

4 games deep right now, dunno if youve played as Jax but i would HIGHLY recomend it.

he looks like one of greivous' guards, especially becuase one of his abilities makes his weapon glow yellow

Yea Nav hop on the Coalition Vent any night and a few of us are playing it. I was the sneak who brought it over to their boards and the turnout has been positive. A few of the peeps are still learning but us pro's(Me,Fal,Shock) will carry you nubs so you can feel good about yourself. I remember Sentinel crying a few days ago about how he couldn't get a win. The game really is just planning your ganks and working really heavily as a team.

It's less soloing than DOTA and team makeup really dictates how easily you'll do. Best team comps right now are 2 tanks, 2 nukes, and a carry. A few of us should be on around 8pm EST tonight so if ur available hop on Vent and x-fire.

Just a quick note: In order for players to show up as online you can't be in a game so if someone logs in and you don't see them, relog and it'll fix it. Game still has a few bugs before the official launch in a week or two. It's a good idea to get as many games in now too as when the game launches, you'll have to spend victory points to unlock characters and new custom skins from their online store.

Something else to note is that the games are actually getting easier at the earlier levels now that the arranged team matches are functioning properly. Due to last months reset all the top ranked teams and players ended up starting again from scratch so they had to crush the newer players to get to the higher teams. It's balancing out much more now and you're ending up against players in your level category, or only slightly better than you. I haven't had a blowout match in nearly 10 games now whereas when I started I could tell it was arranged teams on vent I was going against.

Glad to hear you're enjoying Taric too Nav He's actually one of the better characters in the game. I should be on tonight so we'll try to get a few games in.

Twisted gets really fun when you grab flash and can literally never be ganked, and harass all over the map. He was originally one of the best AP heroes in beta but they toned down his card toss making him slightly weaker. He's still one of the best lane pushers and his support ability to get quick kills is just awesome.

We'll get some more games in to have a try at what characters we like. Stock up on game points for when live hits as you'll have to buy the characters from teh store most likely... as well as runes.

Same here. most of us get on between 8pm EST and play for most of the night. Me and Sentinelx tend to play a little later than most though so you can get some late games in too if you're online. We'll try to get some arranged teams going tonight.

I've played Cho'Gath, Annie, Dr. Mundo, Jax, Nunu, Gangplank, Shaco and some others. So try out some people, you will find what you like.

post about ashe and reminded me to toss you a friend request. I'm really just working
on picking a main hero right now. So if there's anything we really need, or you might
recommend let me know. Been playing around with Master Yi lately, Just went 15/2/6 last game. His ult is always up if you get the killing blows :D

I got your invite and accepted it last night razor, but ya like Zee said just pick what you like. I think most of us are trying to have at least 3 champs that we can fall back on for whatever the team needs at a given time, and as of right now I've got Ashe, Shaco, and Kayle pretty much down with Ashe being my best still.

hay hay hay. It's 6am and I haven't done that in 5 days ok. Excuse me for having fucked up work hours that leave me falling asleep at 6pm and waking up at 1am.

Games getting bloody ass boring to play lately. It's come down to whoever brings the most CC dominates the other team unless of course you're getting paired with total nobs then it doesn't make a damned difference.

I actually went up against a pre-made a few days ago that pitted two lvl 30 summoners, a 25, a 23, and a 19 vs me(20) a lvl 16, a 13, and two lvl 0s who had just bought the game. Suffice to say we got our asses rolled in under 25 minutes. They need to seriously overhaul the damned matchmaking system because new players going up against pre-mades that high is a major turn off. Both the lvl 0s quit the game 5 minutes in saying this is the stupidest shit ever and I don't blame them.

Suffice to say I"ll only play with competent players in pre-mades now cause soloing is a waste of time.

I've found a new player to add to our ELO team when we're ready to get going. The players name is Kyren and he plays an AP Sion that will make you drool. He paired with my AP Taric and with the stuns and aoe shield damage we tore up arranged games yesterday afternoon. He ended up going 15/0/6 while I went 4/2/18 with my only two deaths coming to early game over committing. He plays a pretty awesome Amumu also so we'll have an extra tank slot open.

Also for anyone who hasn't played yet the game just went fully live with the Champion schedule being on a rotation so a lot of the Champions won't be available to you when you start. The good news is you can unlock the champs and runes with Influence points that you earn from playing matches. You can alternately just buy Riot points from their store and unlock them that way.

My current 3 unlocks are Taric, Allister, and Tristana. Going to buy the new Taric skin as it's pure awesome.

Played Blitz today twice and raped face in both games. Enemy surrendered before I even got to complete mu Infinity. the Hero is just plain as hell awesome. May unlock him soon as well as Sion. the Tanks really do have to much going for them.
