Recently re-installed HL2 and found out how nice Steam is, from what I've seen so far. Back when I first bought HL2 Steam was still in it's early stages and I found it more annoying than positive at the time but things have changed I've seen. I might grab TF2 from Steam if it's still worth getting, any comments on that regard? I see some "Let's play TF2 sometime" threads around every so often, but is the game still active enough to grab it?

Also, where can I see my Steam ID? I tried adding it on my profile here, but it says it's an invalid account. Anyone know?

This Saturday or Monday are both golden for me (Dont work Saturday and Monday is Family Day so I'm off then too).

Ok I'm gunna go out on a limb and say Saturday is the day for this, around 7-8pm GMT I'll jump on, and be on for a looong time, so feel free to leave it late to jump into the fun, vent in all.

I'll be on Monday at the same time aswell if anyone feels like a round 2.

You can find your id by going to your profile in steam and looking at the address bar and taking the last word in the address. TF2 is good fun. Just give me a nudge if you wanna play and i'll get on with you.

I grabbed the Orange Box from Steam just now, as I wanted to play HL2: Episodes 1+2 as well, so I'm installing everything now, and I'll probably be on trying out TF2 tonight if anyone wants to hop on and get some easy kills! :P

Yeah, I just finished a "Getting Friends" spree lol, think I got most of the DT crew and some guys from PS.

Download rate is horribly slow for some reason, so I fear it won't be done in time for me to get on tonight, so you'll have to wait with boosting your killcount till Sat or Sunday!

my broadband is not really fast infact its 5mb adsl and I get like 500kbs when downloading from steam. So it only takes me a few hours to download anything from them.

I'll be on tonight by 7:30 at the latest.

The download rate [for me] increased when I set [File > Settings > Downloads] the approx. connection speed to the full 10M. I only have 2M/bit download rate but I get 1.8M/bit [up from 1.5] after I set that up. Steam servers are usually good at DL speeds.

Got everything downloaded last night, had some matches with dis and it was good fun, and should only get better once I get the hang of it!
