Ok I just wanted to get some thoughts on this.. I am not a huge basketball fan but every once in awhile I like to play a game. So I was in the great store 5 and below the other day and I saw NCAA 2009 Basketball for the 360 for 5 dollars.. I was like cool I will get it in case I ever need that basketball fix.

Well about 10 mins into my first game it freezes.. I was a bit upset but figured I would just restart it and everything would be fine. Well after restarting about 8 mins in it freezes.. So I am highly upset now. So I go to the internet to search for a fix. Well I read that you need to download the patch. So I plug my 360 up to my cable modem and patch the game. I start to play again and about 10 mins in it freezes again. So I am really really pissed off at this point.

So I go to the EA forums and I read thread after thread about the freezing problem (this game has been out for almost 2 years). EA apparently never fixed it and better yet their 2010 version of the game has almost the same problem. Now luckily I only paid 5 dollars for it unlike some people that paid 60 and maybe I am just on here to express my frustration with the fact that I have no idea how a company can put out a product that doesn't work and get away with it. How is that even remotely legal?

I think its "remotely legal" because you only pay for the right to play the game "as-is" - its somewhere in the multiple pages of tiny print at the back of the manual. Its the same reason SOE can get away with charging a monthly for a game like PS that runs like shit and has no development.

Also, they probably don't care anymore cuz they aren't making any more college basketball games in the future: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6250337.html?tag=result;title;0

Programming is like sex. One mistake and you have to support if for the rest of your life.
Or in EA's case, be a deadbeat dad.
