so i bought a new video card and a new power supply....

however............

its too big to properly fit into my computer, but it fits.

my question is, is it bad to have my computer lying on its side? i have it on its side right now with the side panel off and a fan blowing directly into it to help keep it cool. is that going to cause any problems? is this bad?

halp?

Not a big computer expert, but I'd say it's not too good for your PC to have it on it's side. Operating the CD/DVD player will be tricky in the least, not sure how well the player works when it's on it's side. So yeah, this is a pretty useless reply!

It wont hurt it... your fans might be a bit noisey but in all honestly you should just get a larger case for $50 then you wont have to worry about it at all.

Yeah Hippo is right, it'll be ok, your drives will have the plastic holdy things [technical term] so they can go sideways. I ran my PC like that for a few months when it kept overheating in its little corner.

New case would be best though. Its what I did.
