'95 cowboys as the defense employed by the '85 bears worked so well in that it was new when implemented by buddy ryan. It was only effective for a couple more years until offenses figured out how to best adjust and exploit it -- thus you don't see the 46 used much at all anymore.

From a pure talent point of view, I have to give the edge to the Dallas offense given their balanced attack and many available weapons. I just can't see the bears linebackers and safeties being able to run with the cowboy backs and tight ends.

My money's on the '88 Oilers...

Im pretty sure the cowboys would shoot the bears well before they get into mauling distance

No question 85 bears. Id kill for a forum that kept things aligned. Btw im loving this adding a video to prove my points.

Arizona Cardinals 4 12 0 .250 275 422

Hell even Chicago had a better offense than the cowboys, and allowed 100 fewer points. That 46 defense may have not lasted but that particular year with those players they were unstoppable. The cowboys were all emmitt smith basically.

Yea hah, ok maybe they couldn't rap but damn how many defenses have their own rap video.

Look at 2:18 of this video, only in football can you get away with things you would normally get arrested in RL for.

I wonder what the size and speed of the average O lineman and D lineman was in 85 vs 95?

Dallas would physically dominate them. I would also bet if they played Deion would score at least one TD on special teams/defense.

IMO Dallas of 95 wasn't even the best team that year. San Fran was. That was also the year Brett Favre caught on fire. I bet the 94 49ers, the 95 Cowboys and the 96 Packers all would beat Chicago. Just a different caliber of athlete 10 years later in Football. Look at the size of those Bears in that rap video....

Rage your old enough to remember them i really cant believe you think that. The bears in the video don't even have their pads on that's why they look smaller. The level of competition and rules during the that time dallas wouldn't stand a chance. Remember back then there was hardly any rules for keeping a quarterback from super hits. You think Aikman wouldve taken a hit like this, this btw is illegal now.

In 85 Ryan's defense was revolutionary......in 95 it was obsolete. Couple that with the size difference of the 85 Bears to the 95 Cowboys.

There is no way that 85 defense could stop Emmitt.

LB
Wilber Marshall
Height: 6-1 Weight: 231

Mike Singletary

I'd go with the cowboys since most of the guys on the Bears would be almost 60 years old by now, plus Walter Payton is dead so they wouldnt have him to run the ball, and I dont think they make those shades that McMahon wears anymore so he'd be fucked. The cowboys would have a much younger and more importantly, alive, team only in their 40's and 50's.
