New game in development atm. Space combat. Going to have all of the features supposedly like eve, combat, mining, crafting, large fights, but this game will be twich skill based. You controll the actions of your ship either with a joystick, or with a mouse and keyboard like in Freelancer.
Looks like it could be fun.

I've already signed up to the beta of this, and another game which I've forgotten the name of but oh well. Should be interesting to see what twist they put on EVE which I personally found to be boring.

Looking into it... the fact its a sim and has no diceroll is really appealing.

On a side note, I tried the 14 day trial of Jumpgate Classic. The fundimentals are there, but the streamline and help (which i dont blame help, as the game is like 9 years old) needs some work. Outfitting the ship, as well as linear cohesion and understanding of what to do and how to do it (mission wise mostly) was a bit tough. But the flight mechanics are very sound and responsive, even in the old game.

Yeah, Im going to try out the 14 day shortly to see what the flight mechanics are like.
The Photoshop contest is a good lol.

My best discritpion is that like in the NEW Battle Star Galactica series. They flight physics remind me most of it. You can throttle up and down. Drag was added so that you could "unrealistickly" slow down, though it isnt major, you will still drift quite a bit. Also, as in the new sci fi series (and in real life flight in space) you can be traveling one way at speed, totally cut your throttle, rotate x degrees, then thust up to change your direction quickly, or you can simply Turn in which youll notice the ship facing turn, but your momentum takes time to correct, and you wont just fly straight after a turn, youll go at a compromised angle.
Very realistic minus the drag of course. Landing/Docking, which you do manually every time you dock something, can be a bit tricky if you dont approach just right :P
