Doner kebab(probably not spelled correctly) from Germany. Lamb meat, goat cheese, salad, no sauce. Extra tasty if eaten at 4 am while stumbling down the street on the way back to base.

Well the classic wrap is Shawarma - Pita, chicken, lettuce, tomatoe, pickle, raddish, hot peppers and garlic sauce.
Sandwich I would say the good ol smoke meet. Looks a lot like the picture you have up from the deli in NYC Moone, but the best here are made in Montreal at Nate's Deli.
But a good panini with prescuito and provologne is good in a pinch.
MMMMMM KATZS DELI SOOOOOOOO GOOD
anyway, i actually don't have a favorite, I usually switch between a few...
but my all time would probably be my amazing creation: Grilled chicken, prosciutto, lettuce, tomato, melted mozzarella, roasted peppers, and balsamic. on a wedge.
..which is a variation of the tried and true italian combo, which can be varied many ways but my favorite way to do it is: ham, salami, prosciutto, lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers, provolone, and balsamic+oil.

but if Im extremely hungry or extremely stoned, i need bacon, in which I'll probably get: roast beef (or chicken cutlet depending on my mood), lettuce, tomato, bacon, chedder (melted muenster if its with the cutlet), and russian dressing
but then again, nothing beats a 4 am upper west side gyro, nothing in the world
EDIT: OR A CAREFULLY CRAFTED BURRITO
another edit: this post was made barring in mind that stuff like leftover lamb or chicken or porkchops or steak (FROM THE GRILL) is not somewhere for me to find. If it is, all the above combinations will not mean anything, i will usually start from scratch if a curveball like this is present, the above is what i would order from a deli

Lex, as a Turk, I am touched, and you did spell it correctly.
Dön means 'spin'. Döner literally means spinning or spinner. Obviously referring to the huge juicy slab of meat rotating slowly while being heated... this generally makes a delicious smell that will almost always make you hungry..

If you're in Germany you might be able to find good Iskender Lex.
(Wow, took me actually 5 minutes to finally find a picture good enough to link. The quality in preparation makes a world of difference when it comes to Iskender..in the picture below you see that it has been prepared properly, (there is a nice pita like base under the meat), with the butter and tomato sauce properly garnishing the magnificent meal.

If you like doner, you'll enjoy it.... and now I am fucking starving, I must go eat.

Wow dude, you are a man after my own heart.
rag i've always thought you and i would be good friends if we had met IRL. that's why we have given each other a hard time in the past. but this here keeps up my hope--i created that sandwich one day when i said to myself after smoking a blunt that i would create a sandwich with all of my favorite ingredients and not worry about how they 'meshed'. voila, my creation was born.
