So I'm opting to get a new PC before a motor bike seen as winter is coming and its pretty pointless paying tax and insurance on something I can't ride.
These are the parts I'm getting slumped in coming to a total of around £1250, thoughts?
Corsair Carbide 500R Case - Black/White
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz Quad Core Processor
OcUK H2Flo Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB 1600MHz CAS9 Memory Kit [I might upgrade this in the near future]
MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II 2048MB GDDR5 [out of all the 560TI's this one seems to be the most dependable]
Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5" 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive [this is just for my OS]
Seagate Barracuda 2TB SATA 6Gb/s HDD [for everything else]
OCZ ZS Series 750W PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit [there any real bonus to buying the other ones, the price goes up sharpish =|.]
Those are the parts I've gone for on Overclockers new customiser option, which seems pretty good value and I'm kinda lazy. If needs be I plan on getting another 560ti for SLI config but hopefully this set up will last a long time. The RAM is about the only thing I'd consider upgrading pretty soon but only if that doesn't cut it, which it should.

Use Aria.com. Overclockers are shit ptices. Rig looks nice.

Aria's stuff looks nice, left a customisation question to basic make the PC I listed above. Have to see what the quote comes out at. Overclockers are cheaper for some parts than other sites and their customiser is only roughly £50-£60 more than buying individual parts, plus the cable tidy and overclock for you.

You sir, have more money than sense. Ten min job to route the cables. And maybe an hour to overclock your processor. Do it yourself, its seriously NOT hard to do it and the chances of frying your mobo are minimal nowadays...!

The only chance anyone has of damaging their hardware while overclocking is if they do it on purpose. If you have an IQ above 5 it's seriously impossible any other way.
ESPECIALLY with a 2500k. All you have to do is increase the multiplier from 33 to 40 and that's it, you're done if you want to be. After I did that all I did was see how much I could DECREASE my vcore... which is ridiculous.

Dont waste your money Dis. Order the parts, and build it yourself mate - won't take longer than a couple hours inc the overclock..

I'm gonna be trying to put a system together for around $1200 too..never built one but I've been researching how to do that kind of stuff and seems easy enough and if I can save $100-$200 in the process why not go for it? Especially around Black Friday/Cyber Monday..I just don't know what parts to get :confused2:

Look up the build I put there Donut but swap the PSU for an 850 and get some Corsair ram, sorted.
I'm pretty much building the same rig but over time now, swapping the graphics card for a 460 GTX and taking the SSD drive/2TB HDD out for a 1TB HDD [I've got so many lying round it doesn't matter and the SSD can come later] to bring the price down to around 900 just so I can get it before January where I have other commitments to think about [Motorbike baby].

So this is the PC I ended up ordering, I check around and there was no where which was cheap enough to justify me buying the parts from seperate vendors.
Note that I swapped the 850w for a 750 and the A50 fan for an A70 dual fan on Demos recommendation.

I'll be looking to get an SSD HDD and a 560TI to SLI later on to complete the build fully, probably require a new PSU but this is a future upgrade as I think this will run most things fine for now.

I can't believe you bought Windows...
I'm using a copied Win7 Premium, updates like a dream lol
Looks a nice rig, I have the same GFX card atm, although it was about £200 a while back - its been a nice card, runs BF3 on pretty high settings too with nice frames.

Don't expect the 2500k to go on sale anytime soon, at most $5-10 off in a short after-christmas sale
There could be big sales on the old 560Ti's after christmas though. Nvidia just released a new one with better specs (448 vs 384 cores), and the 384s are already down to near $200 (were $250+ a month or so ago)

The 448 core 560's are Limited Edition aren't they? Either that or I mistook what they said in the Toms Hardware thing I read, maybe they meant stocks would sell out quick due to popularity.
