basically Sony installed PSide on chinese servers for CN. SOE then decided to merge CN to markov and closed the china servers. The Chinese that owned the servers SOE installed PS on then sold the game to a developer. The developer then rejigged the graphics and patented the idea as theirs (stealing PSide) and patented it. Due to fucked up CN patent laws, there was fuck all soe could do about it.

Welkin is basically an even clunkier pside with same engine etc

If you want to try it out, look up Azure Twilight as they have converted cn stuff to english that shows you how to try beta

I tried it last night for the first time and thought it was terrible. It seemed more like BF than PS, but I didn't know how to capture their spawn points either way. Basically I spawned at one of our base things and went to what seemed to be an enemy tower. I killed like 3 guys at the entrance and went to try and find out how to hack or capture it but didn't see anything, so I went up to their spawn pad thing and camped them for a bit with a couple other dudes once they realized I was inside(they were in tanks camping the doors). After I finally died I spawned at a different base of ours and we were getting spawn camped there.

Apparently the devs are officially translating everything into english but I don't know when, maybe it will be a little better when I can actually understand what's going on. But so far it just seems like they took all the aspects of PS the CN ignore (the good ones) and removed them so spawn camping and tank battle stalemates would be the main ways of fighting.
